Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I'm around 40cm in the calves but quite short length and skinny at the ankle. I've used tredstep gaitors for years with short boots but think long boots look a lot smarter.

My daughter has real problems with calf size. As her feet are still growing I never want to spend too much so like the Shires Norfolk. They are cheap and come in loads of different sizes.

I got M2M after years of struggling with off the peg. My right calf is 4cm wider than my left due to nerve damage from a fractured hip so before I either had one leg with no circulation or one that was swimming! V expensive but after 5/6 years of constant use the are still going strong where as off the peg ones needed replacing every couple of seasons.

I have short legs and slightly wide calves. I went for Celeris Bespoke and OMG are they nice!! I ordered plain Hugo field boots, and when I got them, I was a little taken aback by the elongated toe, but when I saw them on, they were unbelievably beautiful! Since I have problems fitting into off the shelf boots, I have researched and tried everything out there. Of course, bespoke boots fit because they're made for you, but more than that, Celeris are reasonably priced (I paid £450) and are excellent quality. The rep for Southern UK, Cate, is very nice, too. I can only say good things about these boots. You wouldn't regret getting them.

My legs are too wide for off the peg so got first pair of Celeris 18mths ago and they still look fab so got another pair for competitions only as so impressed. Definitely worth the money.

Avoid the Shires Norfolk if you need a wide fit - I'm dress size 8-10, not super muscley and I need an xl calf in Norfolks...

If you're only 40 cm around the calf, then Ariat short/wides may fit you. I'm about that, and they fit me. Still, I love my Celeris!
