As per title..... and have a sales catalogue or know how I can get hold of details (they don't seem to publish anything on line). I believe that's when Cam was sold by his breeder (who I'm yet to contact) to the person I bought him from. Purely out of interest I would love to get some more details and I'm also quite interested in how much he went for. I have no issue with what I paid for him etc, but I guess my love of genealogy/family history research has swung over to my horse ownership side. I know little about the history of other horses in my life, so it would be nice to have the whole picture. Whatever I find out, I can only conclude he had a lovely upbringing as he really is very laid back and takes things on very sensibly. :)

Hey I was there and will have a catalogue, if you text me his name, age, colour and if you know who his sire is I will look, I'm just at gorsebridge now but may have a cataloge in the lorry from last time- if not defiantly got one at home:)

Oh that would be amazing! I am quite happy to put his details here as nothing to hide.....

Not sure what name he was sold under but his passport name is Coconut Shake and his stable name was Cameo. I have a feeling his passport name was given by the person who sold him to me. His breeding is here:

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/coconut+shake

Sire: GRANAHAN CHAMP

Dam: DOYLES DUA

He's grey by the way. :)

He was born on 09/05/2007.

I can pm you his passport/microchip number and breeder's name if that helps. Also he has a blue ISH passport as his Sire was registered.

Thank you so much. As I say, this is purely to fulfill my personal desire for information. He is going nowhere! :) x

Morrismob- will keep my eye out for you:)
Nickicb- have just looked through catalogue there isn't anyone horse under either of those names, also have looked in sire index and there was nothing bred by that sire in the march sale, could his breeding have been unknown at the sale? Maybe the people who you bought him off got breeding ect if they named him? How big is he? There is an about 16.2 grey gelding 6 year old- could this be him?

Thanks for looking. What I know (or have been told by the person I bought him from, and I have no reason to believe otherwise as they belong to an adjacent PC and I got references I trust) is that he was bought from Goresbridge. He would have been 4 (by calendar years - born 2007). The reason I think it was that particular sale is that there is a sticker on the front of the passport dated 22/03/2011. Ah, and looking again, as well as the purchaser's name, there is a number 89 - maybe a lot number (or could be purchaser's number). His foal number was 4644771 in his ISH passport and his sellers were from Killaloe. His vaccination records date presale and everything stacks up, but the sale date is supposition from what I have gleaned so could be wrong. I bought him at around 15.2 when he was 5 so could have been around 15/15.1 at sale. Really appreciate your help and don't want to waste your time, but anything you can find out would be fab. Thank you. :) x

Hey it's me having mental moment looking in 2012 catalogue instead of 2011!!! I have got catalogue somewhere at home so will look when I get back Thursday or Friday, he defiantly sounds to have come from gorsebrige as that is the right date on sticker- could you pm me on Thursday/ Friday as sure this thread will be far down the pages by then:):)

Well I hope you buy some good'uns. My old mare I had for 30 years was Irish (I got her as a 5 year old) and Cam is also a fab horse. I definitely have a soft spot for them. :) x

I also might have a catalogue, I'll look tomorrow. I love both sales, its a great few days away as well. I got my boy from Caven this time last year, its an amazing place. The walk up to the stables is a killer though lol x

I don't know I wish I'd gone. Saw a couple I liked , one in particular, hope he goes for millions! Am going to get there one day.

Ollierdog do u take ur own box over ? Hope u find some nice ones. :)

Thank you - that would be wonderful :) x

Yes we take our own lorry usually get 5/6 in:):) Morrismob- after 3 years of going so about 140/150 horses Iv only had a couple of bad ones the rest have been absolutely fab and gone onto BE/BS/BD! It's defiantly worth a visit!! Elsbells- yes already here:) all ready for tomorrow, are you planning on buying? If you are try and watch anything you like both in and outside, also try and see them in the stable- a horse can sometimes look quiet when ridden but be a nervous wreck in the stable! If you are buying for yourself personally don't be afraid to ask for a quick sit on- I don't tend to as I'm buying to sell but did with horses I have bought to keep for myself:)
