my lovely mare was PTS last week - i miss her dreadfully - but knew it was coming & had already thought about the next horse - not because i am callous but because i enjoy horsecare/ownership.
BUT & this is where i need help - i am not really in a position to buy another - i am in secure employment [ teacher] & am well able to cover the usual day to day running costs of horse keeping
so, i am looking for a long tern loan to do low level dressage/pos bit of showing on.
i have zero interests in jumping/solo hacking - so horse doesnt need to be able to do these
please keep me in mind of you can help
thank you

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your mare Rubysmum. Even when you know it is coming it is still very difficult.

There is a website called www.horsetoloan.com, might be worth you putting an ad on there and also looking to see if there is anything suitable listed already.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mare, it is dreadful.

I was the same as you, I actually took out a loan to buy my new girl as I could not find a loan horse and just decided I was going to take the risk. Depends on how much you need really. My loan is not too much, found it on money supermarket and am so pleased I did.

Good luck with finding a horse and *bug hugs* to you x

RubysMum, really sorry about your mare.

And really supportive of your decision to loan. Responsible and should be fun - good luck!

:-)

So sorry to hear about your mare and good luck with finding one. I'd also suggest checking out the low priced for sale adverts as you never know what you might get. A friend got a lovely 14 year old coloured cob x TB for £250 recently, with tack and rugs. I admit she was exceptionally lucky, but it's worth a look, the owners were far more interested in the right home for her than the sale price and she's a really nice little horse. :)
