I've had a VERY VERY busy summer.... so time to update for those who might be interested.

Yesterday Four had his dressage competition debut. His second outing EVER! He is still very green and a little spooky, but couldn't be more proud of my boy! Homebred and now competing on him! Wow!! :D
We got 61.33% in the first time (a little spooky) and 64.78% on the second test! Very proud!!

2 weeks ago, we tried a practice show, to see how he would react to different surroundings, tension and the scary, horse eating white fence. He is amazingly precious in every way! He tries his heart out, bless him...

And the rest of the summer.... I was playing groom for four-in-hand driver Koos de Ronde! I even went to the WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES..... HOW COOL IS THAT???!!!! Behind the scenes..... I'll never forget it! Here are some pictures I wanted to share!

Team Gold!!!

Wow, you have been busy :)

It is a very special thing with a homebred, you have done a beautiful job with him - I bet WEG was amazing, very jealous :)

You mean this hiccup in Breda?

Everyone is thankfully doing fine! No humans hurt, but one of the leaders needed to be stitched.. nothing too big luckily! Just shows you how dangerous this sport can be and when it goes wrong, it goes dreadfully wrong!

What a summer! Four looks amazing, you must be bursting with pride . And going to WEG must have been a great experience. I want to know more about the hiccup though!

Do you still have your mare as well?

Lovely horse. The hiccup gave me the heebie jeebies. Thank god the horses stayed calm/stood still with all those folk round them, if they had panicked it could have been an utter disaster.

Oh wow, that was scary to watch. It's amazing that the injuries weren't worse.

Good to hear that you still have Breitlingh and that she's out again soon!

Wow four looks amazing! Jealous of weg too - that video is scary but fair play the amount of support that just appeared from nowhere! Glad to hear everyone was ok :)

I do tend to think carriage horses are a lot more sensible than their other competing cousins (and perhaps have a better voice 'woah' installed!?), despite being just as 'hot' at times, bless them, they did look like they were trying to work out where the next gate was without you all! Have you done that before FS? Four looks so grown up!

The poor souls were a bit lost without us! It was the first time I encountered a fall up close like this. Very scary and it's such a bummer knowing that that's the end of your entire show. Especially as Koos had a huge chance of becoming national champion.... oh well.... onwards and upwards!

Thanks everyone!

Here are some pictures of Breitlingh today.

Lovely to hear your news! Four is stunning, keep us updated with his progress.

That video was so scary! So glad no one was hurt. The stewards seemed to have dealt with it very professionally.
