A humble request to rejoin the esteemed realm of CR after an absence of over 2 months! (I know, shocking isn't it?)
No excuse, only that rebuilding a house seems to take more energy than I ever thought possible. (Not that I have so much as laid a single brick....) Added to that, kids, horses, dogs, shows, visits by parents

and god knows what else,oh yes, computer now located somewhere dark and drafty means that I have tried to follow some posts but without alcohol, crisps and chocolate back-up,nothing I could have added would have been worth much anyway.....

Well, the kids are safely back at school now,Charlotte to middle school,(cue- heart attack by me after forking out 520euros on text books!

) We are getting quite used to living in the bar now, except it brings me in close proximity to my 'lovely' DIY clients, bless them.... Manneken seems to be much better after a wake-up call to some sort of RSI injury and is literally jumping out his shoes so I've a few small 1 and 2* planned in October/November. The delightful Pyjama has had 6 weeks off, hacking and in the field and despite being a little rotund,is now back to schooling and faster work, hopefully she'll join Manneken and Domino next month. And indeed,Domino who,by coincidence seems to have had some secret 'intelligent-jumping' lessons??

Wiggy is back and working too,but I plan to give her a bit more time as 'Madam' is apparantly rather fragile and needs to be 'well fit' to really do her best. I have an interesting new chap too! Oscar is a 7yo big, sexy french boy with considerably more 'mouth than trousers' but he loves his jumping and ,yes, he's an ORANGE one!!! Soon to arrive in are Gordon and Badette my 2 3 1/2 yos who at the moment look like 2 giant oranges in the field!

The 2 Amaretto foals, Jamaretti and Joletta are in and weaned, looking gorgeous and making mischief,Jolanda (old mare and mummy of Joletta),is completely recovered, but I think that feeding a big foal and the ammounts of bute she needed at the time, have put paid to us ever having another foal from her,she still looks half her age though! Bijou,(mummy of Jamaretti),is in and the new ride for Emily! Who has been riding REALLY well with Rancha (little white pony?) the last 2 months and has had some good placings,so Bijou, having had quite some experience internationally before her accident and despite being a bit of a 'bomb' will teach yet another bratski to jump some bigger jumps!!!
smile.gif
Madeleine and Billy continue to fly around the farm at an irresponsible speed;poor Bill, if he had had some teeth to start with,he would have lost a few this summer I can tell you!

Krawaat, our ex-international chappy(google rbg, trudo krawaat)is 24 this year (bless) and will be spending his first winter since his retirement, indoors, luckily I kept his 7ft 3 rugs and xxl headcollar!!!
wink.gif

I did have however a lovely boozy weekend in Barcelona where I made it to the csio at least twice!!!

met lucretia briefly but ended up spending most of my time schmoozing round the city and eating everything that looked yummy

So, big apologies to everyone on here if I missed something/anything I should have reacted to and will promise to try and keep up a bit more even if it means sitting in the dark with a beker of my Blaye 'red' and a bumper pack of mint aeros as of course you should partake of if you managed to get this far!!!!

and gosh, haven't you been busy? Mind you, after all those glamorous trips it seems only right that you should be grounded for a while.
wink.gif
Don't think you've missed much from me but is it purely coincidental that when you appear I break something?

Wow, great update
smile.gif
Sounds like a busy summer

Am loving the idea of Manneken literally jumping out of his shoes, I have a vision of something like a cartoon, with four shoes left neatly at take-off point
grin.gif
Great to hear that team sj_family is on good form, look forward to more updates whenenver you can bear to venture into the dark and dingy place with the computer - in the meantime I do believe I'll join you on the red

Very good to hear from you! Sounds like all your exciting horses are on the up, what shows do you plan on in the near future? Being an eventer (read: part-timer) I am now off for several months so might come and watch! I do like the sound of anything big french and orange so keep a watchful eye on him....

Not sure I quite caught all of that. It sounded horrifically busy! Nothing new this end (possibly new Fugly horse - you might have missed that one?
wink.gif
). Hope all your boys are jumping out of their shoes at every opportunity and continuing to earn their keep!
