Hi all,

Im currently looking to replace my well worn Hunter wellies and im finding it impossible to find a pair of long yard boots that fit my skinny calfs! Even my Hunters are still slightly baggy  I dont dislike hunters but just fancy a change - any suggestions?? Have looked at the woofwear and muckrider ones but i just look like my feet are in buckets :p

thankyouu!

I take it you mean just yard boots for round the stables....not for riding.

I know where you're coming from, being 5ft10 and a size 4/6....

My pair of Le Chameau have lasted me YEARS, and the lining means they are more flush to the leg than most models, so, I wear mine with a thick pair of socks (skiing/walking socks). They are expensive, but I've had my recent pair for about 5/6 years now?? And they're still perfect!

I've also got a pair of Dubarrys, that are also a little bit expensive. But have had them for years too and they're still 100% perfect. Super comfy, and find a pair of thick socks pads them out.

Ariat do similar versions to Dubarrys, but I've tried a pair and found they're suited to legs with bigger measurements. I've heard good reviews on Mountain horse yard boots, but unsure of the name of the model!!

grasmeres for posing in.

i just stick with my hunters though for yard stuff, then jod boots for riding.

people forget about the other end of the scale, we arent all muscle men!

i use woof wear long boots, i don't have large legs but not had any problems with them, they have lasted me nearly 2yrs and i wear them every day!

I bought a pair of Muck Boot Derwents this week and they fit very well. I have fairly skinny calves and used to get hay and shavings down my boots when I used to wear my Welligogs (Dubarry lookalikes), but haven't had this problem with the Muck boots even though they are a size too big.

I do like the look of the muck boots but just assumed they would be too wide but might actually try a pair on to be sure. Had never heard of le chameau, but had a look at the wellies and quite fancy them too so will have to see which i prefer!

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone :)

Wish I had the same problem :)

My chameaus are 15 years old and it is only this year that htye have got a hole in them, so expensive, but good value in the long run.

I am getting some woof wear muckers this week, just the short ones.
