Report it and they should do something about it within 7 days, I did for some of the road around my way and they clear it, just in the process of reporting some more.........
What a delightful crop of ragwort! No wonder we have such trouble keeping it in order when councils allow this to happen. It's a losing battle, it really is.
The amount of ragwort on the main roads here is shocking as well...and apparantly it's illegal to have ragwort growing on your land, but I don't see anything done about it and the council doesn't set a good example!
I'd send the pic's to defra, it's a disgrace. Sadly councils don't seem to give a toss and yet we could be getting all those people that were let out of prison early to pull it up for us!
Yep the m42 and m6 are largely the same. DEFRA don't care- my mother reported some and was told not to bother in future, as they would take no notice as she did not live on adjoining land!! Idiots.
Maybe that is true to an extent as they certainly came and pulled all the Ragwort from the central reservation of the M6 by us after we made a complaint about it growing so close to our fields. We reminded them that it's an offence for it grow within 100m of grazing animals.
