I did some of these for my pony club B test ridden exam :D Horses had to be plaited up, mine had a long mane but it was too fine for a running braid - these worked beautifully. They're surprisingly easy although mine weren't half as neat! If anyone wants to try them they're reverse scallop plaits and there's lots of tutorials online.

Beautiful, nothing beats perfect plaits! Never tried this but now a bit tempted...how long does the mane need to be out of interest?

I'm feeling rather cr@p at plaiting now! wow, they are definitely incredible, I wish I had the first clue as to what I would need to do...off to watch a tutorial before I tidy up the mane of the youngster just in case there is enough there!

Good grief...I had panic flashbacks of all the plaiting I had to do in daughters hair as she grew up...trying to emulate these would finish me off!

I can't imagine the patience of both horse and person plaiting! I cut my fjord's mane with clippers.
