i am really pleased. i didn't notice it until i looked at the picture!!!!!
 
I appreciate that he needs to lose weight and it is dangerous for horses to be too overweight, we had the same problem with Fany.But when we spoke to a couple of experts, they advised that just as it is bad for humans to lose weight too fast so it is with horses. Apparently it puts a strain on them and disrupts their metabolism making actually more difficult for them to keep it off later. We were told slowly but surely rather than hurriedly. I hope you don't mind me saying.He is a stunning lad, beautifully marked.

i totally agree with what you have said, but i haven't actually done anything different in the last month. he may ahve been worked slightly but only an extra 10 mins in the school or something, his feed hasn't changed if anything i have probably given him a bit much recently and he is on same amount of grass. i think the weight loss is purely from the there being less nutritian in the grass since the spring. also i wasn't trying desperately trying to get the weight off and didn't relaise he had or was loosing any!!! :)

ahh thankyou i must admit he is very special, i would like to take him to shows but it's the transport which makes it hard. there is one show in riding distance but the rest are a long way away.
