Look what I've got.....

Sorry, haven't posted much since Christmas (was as hectic as I predicted).... my plans for a GSD rescue are on hold for a bit because I am "fostering" this little lad....

His name is Pip, he's two years old and Jack Russelly but obviously a cross, any thoughts on breed are gratefully received, he's very liver coloured but I don't know much about genetics so no idea what that means!! He has the markings of a faint face mask so some interesting breeds in him I think!!

I have taken him because he has horrific seperation anxiety and the guy that had him needed to be able to leave him. He's SUCH a sweetie but very insecure, he has been pacing and crying all afternoon but he gets on brilliantly with Boss, in fact I am quite shocked at how good they are together, I was expecting some sort of fireworks! Next step is to find him a home, because obviously I couldn't possibly keep him

.... well, maybe we'll just see how he gets on!!

Sorry for the picture quality, I only have a rubbish camera phone at the moment but will try and get some more soon.

Very cute, but I must admit it didn't feel quite right to see a J.R.-body on the from the side photos.

Liver colour = lack of black pigment. The nose-colour is a clear give away sign.

JRT x GSD. There was a Corgi x GSD at college which wasn't dissimilar (except it had a Corgi body, GSD head and tail).

I knew there was a weird breed in there and now you've said it, he's definatly Pharoh Hound, not idea what the back end is (although he has a corgis bum), poor wee lad, he's not pretty but I think thats what makes him cute!! He cried for two hours last night last night when I put him to bed in teh kitchen... I just kept putting him back into his bed and eventually he gave up and then slept from 12-6am, not bad going!

I was able to leave him in the car when I went to the shop and he was really good, the guy I got him from said he goes hysterical when he's left alone in the car (the reason he couldn't keep him), isn't it funny how different owners can have different effects!! I've been following Cesar Millans rules and already he is far more confident, happy and nowhere near so clingy and insecure. Magic stuff!! He's a darling little thing, great with the kids, big dogs, little dogs and everyone else. Will make a lovely family dog.

Good on you for fostering him, I hope it goes well.

He certainly is a very odd looking little chap, but whatever his breeding I bet he'll make a wonderful pet for someone - although I suspect that turns out to be you.

There is a JRT cross at our yard which looks very like yours Jules, a normal JRT sized body with HUGE bat like ears - sooo cute

I did actually think which did he look most like, Ibza or Pharoah, but I googled just to check, and the Pharoah looked much more like his head. So NER!

I haven't read other posts but I think it would be lovely if you could keep him as he is insecure and another move would be awful. He looks so settled doesn't he
