omg what a mess!! hope shes ok, although looks nasty from pics looks like is superficial, and as long as no lumps bumps swellings ect should be ok in no time!! how very annoying tho considering shes moving on!

lol matching horses. at least the sodu cream is camoflagued on yours!!! hers were a bit filled this morning but not anywhere near as much as i expected.

at the mo im hosing twice a day and shes on bute and arnica and using derogel and sodu cream. once is dried a bit ill shove some purple spay on. thank god there are no flies about at the mo. hopefully she will be ok to travel on wed. but we will see

Oh christ! It makes you wonder what goes through their heads when they try and pull stunts like that!
It doesn't look to be that deep, which is a blessing, but do you think it'll scar? Will she still be moving homes? Silly lady, hope she's on the mend soon!

Ouch, looks sore though I suppose you're lucky it didn't go any deeper.
I hope it heals up quickly.
I do hate horses sometimes for the worry they cause

well shes off to a rehabilitation centre and this stunt has confirmed i have made the right decision but i have to phone them tomorrow to make sure they will still take her. shes not lame and im hoping to god she wont scar. any one know what the best thing to minimise possible scaring?

My horse did his on a xc course over a tiger trap, it worked ,he got trapped in it, and pulled off his hind shoe. The photo was taken when I had only just hosed it and before anything was put on it.
I do hope yours mends very soon

Put a pinch of garlic in the water you are washing with and use an irrigation syringe to apply it. It worked well for when our daft mare had a deep and messy tear in her leg, it grew back black, rather than leaving a white mark.

I second ChocoCornflake for Camrosa. You will be impressed with how well it will heal (Have a look at case study photos on their website, it does work as they say)
