I'm quite excited!!! The house is need of a lot of work - it has no kitchen or bathroom, but it's 17th century and has real promise :)

AND it has a paddock of 2 acres (not big I know) , another two small paddock areas, and a huge barn !!! And the village it's in, I should be able to rent a second field if needed. I have always wanted a pony at home ever since I read those pony books as a child.

Downside is of course getting a buyer for our house ... but the other has been on the market for a year now.

Fingers and toes crossed :D sm x

Assuming you are wanting a mortgage, some lenders will not lend the full amount (if any) on a property that has no bathroom. Again, assuming it is going to be your main home. Just something to think about.

Good luck :).

I think it has a sink in both the kitchen and bathroom, and he-who-knows-it-all says that is enough to cover a mortgage application. I have no idea, but the grass is lovely and green :D

:D Getting your priorities in the right order I see!:D

Goodluck.

I never quite understand mortgage people, so what if the house doesn't have an inside loo? A mortgage is a mortgage, you take one on and pay it back.

I m hoping there's a loo !!!!

Yes and the barn would convert into two lovely stables and a hay/feed area. First thing I checked out...;)

Oh, I am so jealous. I was just thinking this afternoon how wonderful it would to have Archie at home with me. Where abouts in the country are you?

As for house with no great comforts ... I would live in a shed if it meant me being near my boy.

Really hope things work out for you, keep us posted x

N Yorks area - and yes, I too would move into the barn, might have to while the house is being done. Now that would be a nightmare for the horses

Jealous!!! Where are you based... and where does one find a house with paddock?!?!?! See houses like that everywhere around me but none is ever for sale, so wouldn't know how much they'd cost!
