Hello

Hopefully I'm going to look at a couple of ifor Williams 505 this weekend and wondered if there is anything I should be looking out for. I'm only spending about 2k so won't be that new 10 yrs I expect. Is there any probs they tend to get as they get older?

I've not had my own transport before but after yesterday's trip to the vets with my 27 yr old. I am thinking its wise to have something for that just in case event

Thanks

Good content in the video. The wheel rims on a s/h trailer I bought were quite rotten with rust! When I tried to break the rust off with a hammer, the hammer went right through! I got new but shop soiled rims from my local dealer for £10 each which was a snip. So check that too.

The diameter of the ball toe hitch, and the toe ball on the vehicle, is mentioned and is very important. I had one trailer (unloaded, thank goodness) become separated from the vehicle. The trailer disappeared through a hedge and no harm was done but it could have been serious.

Brakes often need adjusting but that is not a major problem. Presumably you'll get a new s/h trailer serviced anyway soon after purchase (or maybe checked by a mechanic before hand?).
