Hi everyone. My first post so bare with me! I am having major problems finding a good 13.2 jumping pony for my 10yr old daughter. She is rapidly outgrowing her 12.2 who she competes 85-95cm tracks on. In training they jump 1m plus. Her pony jumps in a lovely rhythmical canter, never pulls and is very well schooled. He is a quirky ride in company, but she has overcome this. My daughter likes to feel in control and have to 'ride' into fences, and this is where we are experiencing problems. We have seen lots of ponies and they all seem to pull into fences, are unschooled on the flat, or the owner has exaggerated the pony's jumping ability. Although she is a competent rider, this un-nerves her. We are willing to loan or buy - have a decent budget of £5k, do you think I will find what we are looking for, or am I being unrealistic? We are based in Lincolnshire, so if you know of any .......
Thanks for reading!

Hi There,

I am based in West Yorkshire and a very close friend (showjumper & show jump instructor) runs a yard and teaches at many others, she is always matching horses & ponies to riders and fairly recently found the perfect match for 12 year old in a similar situation! I know at the moment she is helping one of the liveries (another friend) find a home for 2 great sj ponies (son is moving onto horses) If you would like to PM me your contact number I will get her to give you a call, both are sound and sane, she will be able to advise better whether either would suit your daughter, one is a palomino mare called Rosie and the other a chestnut gelding called Charlie :)
