My friend is looking for a 14.2 schoolmaster type pony (no older than about 14 but mare or gelding) for her 12 year old grandaughter (tall). She has been riding a little while and just got used to the canter but the pony she has been riding is very old and ready to retire. They are not looking for a competition pony or pony club type pony but one that she can love and hack around the moors on safely. They offer an incredibly knowledgeable and lovely home with other horses.
This afternoon we went and tried a fabulous pony which would have suited my daughter down to the ground but was much too sharp for a novice rider.
So if anyone knows of anything in Somerset or Devon (they seem to be rarer than hen's teeth!) let me know please.
