Anyone got a Mercedes 709 horsebox? im looking for a box to carry my 2 horses. Must be under 7.5ton to keep costs down. Any suggestions?? :) x

it was when i checked! really just want to know if anyone has any experiences of this type of lorry, as this is the one im interested in. I dont want a 7.5ton x

cheaper plating and fuel and insurance
Um I dont think it makes the slightest difference as anything over 3.5 tons with two axles costs the same for plating, fuel will be little or no different, not sure about insurance but would think it would be lumped together with 7.5 toners and would go on value and your age, area etc .it might cost more because the insurance companys insure 1000s of 7.5 tonners and have lots of data on risk/ claims for them...

ok very slow and old fashioned but if serviced regulaly will run and run untill they quietly rot away... Parts might be a little difficult to find second hand as most of these were exported to africa, etc after people had finished with them like most merc cars lorrys and vans..
