Looking for a comfortable girth.

My poor chap is pretty girthy and sensitive skinned not to skinny TB and today i noticed a couple of lumps underneath his chest where his girth sits which are bothering him he has always been grumpy around his girth area - now i cant decide if to get a thick full sheepskin girth cover or to go for one of those jolly expensive Frank Baines type leather girths with the velcroed on sheepskin does anyone have any ideas experience or opinions?

There have been lots of posts recently about girthiness in horses (at least three in the last fortnight). Every one says to try the wintec elastic girth as it has elastic running the whole length of it.

But to be honest you might find your money is better spent on getting a chiropractor to check out your horse. My chiro has told me to leave off getting a girth until he has checked out my horses back as he thinks it sounds like he has a genuine problem somewhere. He's not out until the 24th but I am happy to wait until then for him to come and not ride.

Thank you for that my Chiro lady is coming next week anyway as it is 6 mths since he was last done - but i did go and spend a few £ this morning on a PRo choice fleece girth

i was thinking of replacing my old one anyway LOL thats how i will justify it to my self !!
