Well seriously considering it. So would like some help in flagging some up. 6-10 mths to make 15-16hh. Cant decide on exact breed but be a cross. Something of middle/light wt hunter type. eg Welsh, ID, cob crosses.
Any going at all? Is £1000 a good maximum mark?
Getting a feel of whats out there.

Not too excited about lines though would be a bonus. prefer filly as well (personal preference). (though what I have seen that I like seems to be more £ than I was expecting) hmm.

i know where there is a pretty smart welsh c/d x T.B.
Pretty sure she is priced at the right price to.
Right little cracker when i saw her in the summer.
P.M me if you want some contact details.

The idea is have project starting from scratch. To replace me old timer in a few years time. hence looking for a baby. A challenge I fancy doing. (must be bonkers)!

You could try Tresorya Stud , I help the owner out somtimes. They breed Welsh D's and are besed in Cornwall (They've got some lovely foals this year too!)

extend your search to yearlings/2yr olds and you might find something nice as well - and less time to wait

you can do more 'play' with a slightly older youngster.

Some of the 'start from scratch' can equate to 'expensive total pain in the backside' - e.g. my farrier has acquired 2 'problems' to deal with belonging to clients - one yearling that cannot even get to pick up front feet let alone back and another cob type from Wales that is 5 and 'unhandled' - that latter one sounds almost to the point of dangerous

nice young horses shouldn't BE 'challenges'
