Looking for a place close to Durham for volunteering and riding

Dear all,

A month ago, I moved to Durham and I am currently looking for a place to practice my horse riding. However, I am even more looking for a place where it would be possible to volunteer in helping out with attending to the horse(s), in combination with riding. Would anybody have an idea where to turn to? I do not want to sign up at just a riding school, but rather get in contact with horse owners/ farm owners who could use some help in attending to their horses.

Put an ad up in your local tack shop and feed merchant.
There is also the RDS centre at Washington which is a short drive from Durham city

Hi, are you wanting a horse loan? I.e. On and livery, to ride, help but also pay per week? And if so where r u in durham? Do you have a car . And are you ok to travel.
