hi, I didn't think this would be so hard!... I'm looking for someone to help me exercise my horses, in East Ayrshire. I'm not offering payment, but equally not asking for any contribution, either financial or stable duties. Having trouble finding anyone. Ideas where can I advertise? thanks. :)

I'm having the same problem - not takers (not sensible ones anyway). I'm also offering a chance to compete come summer. There's been a few threads like this lately...

Hi Fides, thanks for the reply.
Well, I'm glad it's not just me - was beginning to think there was something wrong with me!

It's not just you. Someone suggested to me it's because people perceieve it that you are wanting schoolinbg for free. For me it wasn't like that, as I am on my own (private yard) I just needed someone on the ground whilost backing my youngster. In return I was offering free rides on my mare and the chance to compete her this summer with the aim of getting affiliated by the end of the season.

Have you tried asking your local riding club? They may know of people or could at least spread the word you are looking for someone for you. Good luck!
