Looking for a saddle

I need to find a saddle to fit B. Obviously a saddler would be a good idea. But I was wondering what you guys would advise, style wise, for a 16.2hh mare, with a long in the thigh, 5ft 10/11ins me in the plate. I have an 18inch Saddle Co. Dressage saddle, but we won't be using that for a while yet! I don't nec want a saddle for keeps, a starter saddle will do....... Ideas on a post card please. Thankies

Similar shape to mine - Excelle Event fits well and good for long legs too. Also Stubben are good for long legged people not sure about the horses though.

Also, what about Bates GP - also not bad for long legged people and can be adjusted for the horse to a certain extent.
 
Echo the excelle if you are wanting an alround great saddle.
Mines the event/single flap but you can get two flap GP ones too.
Winston is similar build to B

if not I apologise) but we have just put our 17 1/2" Albion K2 Jumping Saddle on Ebay, it's a wide fitting so fits a horse with good shoulders and not too big withers. It may suit you. It's only 1 year old and very comfy. Only for sale as no longer fits Hattikins' horse (I'm her Mum). I think you would have to bid for it as I can't take it off Ebay now it's already got a bid on it.

I bought a Wintec as a started saddle for my young horse as they're quite cheap. I had a saddler come and look at my horse about a month ago and he siad that the Wintec was one of the most technically advanced saddles around. It has the adjustable gullet (great for a horse changing shape) but also has adjustable padding which can easily be fitted by a saddler to change the level of the saddle and make sure it sits exactly level. Also the Cair system means that the pressure throughout the pannel were always exaclty equal ond smooth. He did say that the dessage saddle would have been better as this is off the shoulder and therefore does not restrict movement in anyway. However I will be doing jumping so I went for the GP. As for the synthetic part, everyone who's seen it agrees that it's now hard to tell the difference withiut a propper look between this and a leather one. Another bonus is no endless cleaning. Just a quick wipe over with a sponge ever now and again.
