looking for a terrier

I'm looking for a terrier for my dad who's recently lost his elderly cocker spaniel.
if anyone knows of one that needs a home let me know i was thinking JRT ,Border, fox ,Norfolk that kind of size.

sorry but there's a few ideals ( bear with me on this one)
-good with cats as we have 4
-good with dogs ( a bossy GSD and a bully opinionated JRT)
-preferably female
-would prefer it not to be a puppy 6-12 month would be good.

ive checked the rescue homes there nowt about at the mo.
im in the staffordshire area.

I know you've said you have looked at the rescue sites, but have you tried Dogpages? There is severl charities on there which have all sorts available.

They often live with fosterers so get checked out for things like dog/children/cat friendliness. And quite often with a network of volunteers they can pick up a dog and get to your area for you.

I dont know where staffordshire is so I wouldn't know your closest dogs trust but you should def. give your nearest centre a vist. Heres their web address: www.dogstrust.org.uk

There is lots of male terriers if you would consider one....?

You may just find one you fall in love with when you go to the centre. Just going through their website brings a tear to the eye - there is one dog who has been in kennels for 4 years.

You could try www.terrierrescue.co.uk

They are a small charity that works with rescue centres etc all round the country re-homing and fostering only terriers. I fall in love with at least one every time I look at the site!
