I am desperately seeking a D-ring Happy mouth type of bit, either mullen mouth or one with a lozenge but I can't find any that are less than 18mm thick. Apart from the Nathe, which are a bit pricey, does anyone know if Happymouths come in slimmer designs?

Its not D ring but I think it looks quite thin....

Thanks Bean but the 1st one is the same as I've already got and it's too thick for my horse's mouth. The 2nd one does look thinner but can't really tell from the picture.
The hunt goes on....... My horse just will not let a metal bit past his front teeth!

you could also use a metal bit and put bit wrap onto it to make it feel like plastic

can't think of the right name for bit wrap but it's white stuff and comes in a small green box about 1.5 inches high - you unroll it onto the bit and it's cohesive and sticks to itself
