Hi I am looking to help at preferably a competition yard in East Lothian area. I am confident around all horses and I am very dedicated. I am looking for something I could help as a groom at competitions and also able to ride a few times a week.

How much experience have you got? It's doubtful you could walk straight in to working at competitions, in this industry you need to start at the bottom and work your way up! If you have relevant experience/qualifications your best bet is to contact yards directly and ask them, but as I'm not in your area I can't recommend any

try Cousland, they may want help this time of year-its a livery yard but always had a few keen competitive riders and run regular comps. Fiona Burgoyne is a showjumper/agent. There are a couple of racing yards-depends on how far you want to travel if not living in, East Lothian is quite a big area!
