Hi everyone,
I will be studying a PG in Durham 2014/2015, and will possibly another year... I'm currently in The Netherlands with my horse, Little Gin. She is a lovely strong Quarab of three years old and I'm looking for a place for her in/near Durham which I can get close enough to by public transport or is close enough so I can cycle there (don't mind cycling up to about 7 miles).
I'm looking for a place where she can be outdoors 24/7, but if this is not possible then I would settle for her being indoors at night.
She is a very social, young animal who has always lived outdoors and in groups. She's still very green and I'm going to train her using Natural Horsemanship methods as well as Straightness training. I don't want to start backing her until we are both ready.
All I really need is an outdoor/indoor arena and a place for her to be out in a field with a shelter, hay in the winter, and a few friends... Does anyone know such a place?
I am also looking for a NH-instructor near there, and, more importantly, a straightness training instructor who has affinity with Natural Horsemanship. Any tips?
Every bit of help is much appreciated!
Thank you
