I had to sell Dixie reluctantly in 2003
I had her stabled in the Essex area.
Dixie wasn't in great health when I got her, she had bad mud fever, foot rot, and was not in good condition at all.
The time I had with her was spent trying to get her back on her feet, but due to change in circumstances a year later, I could not longer afford to keep her.
I sold ( more or less gave her away ) to a lady who said she would give her a good home and told me that Dixie would be stabled in the Southend area and that I could visit any time and that the horses she had she had for life.
Sadly the lady moved yards and we lost contact.
Then I tried to trace Dixie again a couple of years later and the lady who I sold Dixie too, contacted me saying that she had to sell Dixie as Dixie and her gelding didn't get on ( I was gutted ) but the lady said it wouldn't be fair for me to have the new owners forwarding phoned number.
If any one thinks they know of Dixie, could you please contact me.
All I want is to know she is happy and well. I'm not looking to buy her back, unless that is what the owners where planning to do.
I just want to know how she is.
