Hey guys :)
I'm looking for a cheap DIY yard near nottingham city as I go to trent uni and live in nottingham. I have a 19y/o semi-retired TB mare. She really isen't up to schooling anymore so no need for a sandschool but would like some nice hacking near by. She lives out in summer but comes in at night during the winter. Anybody have any recomendations? I have a car but would like it to be no more than 20min drive if possible! And obviously the cheaper the better!!! I would plan to bring her up after xmas, shes been out on rest for the past few months but i miss her to much :( hope someone can help!!

Theres quite a few around Radcliffe I believe. Newton XC course does livery, not sure of the prices though. As for good hacking - you will be lucky to get that within 20mins of city centre.

If you are looking for good hacking, Gotham, East Leake, West Leake and Normanton on Soar are excellent.
Highthorn Farm at Gotham is reasonably cheap with the best hacking I've ever known.
Bowley's farm at Normanton On Soar, again, reasonably priced with bridlepaths just a few hundred yards away.
Riseholme or Home Farm at East Leake are good, as is Caspian Livery at West Leake.
Have a friend on a grass livery yard (with stables) at Bradmore that may have a vacancy and might be suitable. Its cheap, small and friendly but not sure about hacking, though I think its ok.
PM me if you need further help.
