Hi,
About 2 and a half years ago I bought my Arab mare. The previous owners knew very little about her past. I would love to know any information that anyone might have about her history. It would be very interesting to know more about her!
Spirit is 14.3hh, white, Arab mare. When vetted, her predicted age was 16, so she would now be about 18 (although she doesn't act it!). She has black scarring on her hind quarters, which look like whip marks, but could be from anything, like barbed wire. Spirit also has a small ridge running down her off-side hind hoof, which we think was caused by an injury as a foal.
She gets very anxious when left on her own, especially when in a stable - she weaves and box-walks if left for too long. We think that, at some point, she has been left for a long time on her own - we wonder whether this is also linked to the scarring on her hind. Apart from this, she has a very sweet, mothering nature, and has obviously had some very good schooling at some point in her life. She is excellent with children and beginners, but loves a jump and a gallop very much!
