I am looking for a home for my beautiful Welsh Section D gelding in the local area. I would ideally like somewhere where he will have 24/7 turnout all year round but with the option of a stable if the weather gets bad or if he needs to be stabled for any reason. I run my own business and have limited time so ideally somewhere where he can be on full grass livery with a stable and I will come down and do as much as I can but have the option of him being looked after whilst I am working. I love to hack out so there must be good hacking nearby and he needs at least one other horse or pony for company. I live near Old Basing so as close to there would be ideal but I do drive so can go a little further out.

My children like to help out too so I need somewhere that is relaxed and friendly. If you can offer me such a place for a reasonable price please get in contact as soon as possible as I would like to move him closer to me as soon as I can.

I am mature and responsible, I always pay my livery on time and would be happy to help out others with their horses.

I don't know of anywhere, but I regularly call in Eileen Douglas in old basing, their advert board always seems filled with livery yards!

Or Robinsons? But there never seems to be much in there ?

Good luck with finding somewhere soon! :)

OMG OP you have just brought back memories. I went to school in Old Basing, many years ago! Daneshill, no longer a school now though but an interesting house. Do you know anything about it? Sorry I cant help you with livery yards and I didnt mean to hi-jack your post!

Hehe MC no problem :)

There is a Daneshill school just up the road from us. It's a lovely private school :)

Yes it would be the same one, when I was there it was a boarding school, pupils up to 16 and we could take our own ponies. It sounds idyllic, but I dont think I have ever been unhappier in my life!! We lived not far away in Mattingley. Sometimes I miss the south as you can maybe tell!

Its now a mixed private school for children up to 11 ... I don't think you can take your ponies now though. We looked at it for our girls but didn't want them to change schools at 11 so found another lovely private place up the road. I go to Mattingley all the time, I was raised in Hook and my parents are in Hartley Wintney .... just spent 3 days "up north" in Manchester with hubbies family but was glad to get home last night :)
