Our horse needs your help....we are moving to Wilmslow in Cheshire in the new year and are looking for a new home for our baby boy.

Does anyone know of any really good livery yards in the area, have seen a few and weren't that impressed with facilities and what was available.

Price is no issue as our boy is worth it, just want to find him a good home where we can get to him easily every day...

Please help!!

money no object and facilities important then go for Somerford Park either through main yard which Carol runs or if you want competition or more upmarket livery then with Andy Heffernan or Rachel Bayliss who both have yards there. Facilities are second to none and all year turnout. Pm me if you want numbers

Somerford or Andy Heffener are a good bet. If you want a smaller, friendly, competition type yard then there's Niki De Macedo who is just off the A34. She also teaches. She does full and part livery. She's on Facebook if you want a looksie :)

Thanks Everyone...all help is really appreciated!!

Somerford Park looks impressive and will certainly give them a call to take a look around.

In terms of what we are looking for, I guess its a bit of everything really but a really friendly atmosphere that makes both him and us welcome.

His care is our absolute highest priority so turnout, feed etc is really important but we would like somewhere that offers just that little bit extra, somewhere that isnt too busy to say hello to him and give him a pat now and again if you know what I mean.

Thanks again for your help!

You might like Moss House farm in Mobberly. The management are very caring about the horses. Its only a small yard, I left a few years ago but I think its still the same people running it and they do really care about each individual livery horse. :)

PM me if you want their number.

Hey Everyone - sorry to reignite this post after so long but the move to Cheshire got delayed until now.
We are looking to move our TWO boys now within the next couple of months and was hoping anyone may have some more suggestions on good yards with ayr turnout, decent evening riding (i.e. either indoor school or school with floodlights), access to hacking without too many roads and a relaxed attitude/atmosphere.

We had a look at Dean Valley and Adlington earlier in the year but neither really suited. Lumb Brook was nice and will try there again but not sure if there will be room as we have two now!
Any more suggestions would be really helpful

Thanks

You won't beat Somerford except for the "special attention" in the main yard. The grooms are great but they are busy and the yard is huge. Andy's yard is a "pro's" yard and seems pretty similar but if you event you'll feel right at home. Rachel's yard is small and tucked away round the back and may suit you better. I'll PM you with my "but" :)

hi:)
try dean valley equestrian centre in woodford
great facilitys lovely yard i did some competitions there this year and if i had money would defo keep my horse there x

Hey guys, sorry I don't do livery, just got my own horses at home. But agree on the above somerford is good, dean valley and there are a few private yards around me, woodside farm is next door and a new yard down the road. Pls inbox me if you want info on the other yards. Can just give you direct numbers. Niki de macedo Xx
