Looking for opinions of hooves

Looking for opinions on whether the conditions of theses hooves are a welfare concern? This is not my horse but I am concerned in the condition of his hooves. Not sure what has caused the massive hole, never seen an abscess burst through the wall like that?

Couldn't possibly say from those photos unfortunately. You need clean hooves on solid ground and photos taken at ground level of sides and sole. Is the horse under care of a farrier? If nothing is being done about the hole then it is a welfare issue.

It's too blurry to see exactly what's going on in the first photo. Over-reach injury? Popped abscess growing out? I just can't quite tell.

The heels are certainly under-run. Is the horse under the care of a professional (Vet, Farrier, Trimmer or a combination there of)?

Is the horse sound?
