looking for the impossible..a self contained yard in essex

Hello everyone. We are looking for a new place to keep our horses. Our current private yard has sadly been put upfor sale.
We have 4 horses. One of which is a well behaved stallion. 3 dogs and 2 feral cats.
Were currently located in chelmsford but willing to travel upto 15 miles from here. We have done alot of work to our current property so we are happy to do the same again.
Ideally need a minimum of 4 stables and 3 acres. Will consider everything. Must have electric as me and my partner work full time so need lights ect.
Property for us would be a bonus

I have this, but with house, now looking for more land and stables (plus house to rent), but been looking for ages....

There was a yard at barnston (on preloved) another at halstead (although now let) plus the yard at cressing so they are about. Hope you find what you want, let me know if you find something our size ;-).

hey. yes we viewed barnston.. he doesnt like dogs and it is now let. cressing was only 2 acres and worried about the cats on railway.. also has been let. iv seen alot of places that may intrest u but have been over our budget? 2500pcm? x

iv also seen a 2 bedroom house in watham abbey. 2 stables nd 3 acres 1600pcm. to small for horses sadly

Linzeypinzey is Colchester too far, there's one at marks tey, but limited land and another at old Lexden that has 1.5 acres with apparently more to let and pets welcome, otherwise I can also remember seeing a yard (no house) at Maldon?

intrested in the other if more land available?
maldon would be fab as were near danbury.
all pets live outside in various out houses and the dogs dont bark..unless theres an intruder

Yes think so, remember stables in a courtyard and only about 2 acres, with no more to rent, house was grey? Didn't bother to go look.
Acorn 1to 1 lettings, not sure how many stables? Advert states more land available, 5 bed house.
Maldon one was on preloved, but think they've switched it to sale now?

thanks il have a look. marks tey was just over one acre so as like u didnt bother looking.
yes maldon one is now for sale so id be in same situation.
there are only 2 of us so would be lost in a 5 bed. will have a look though.
rang a place in dunmow.. intercounty.. they couldnt tell me what the equestrian facilities were and never called back. i may try again with them.

Have 4 stables and 2 mobiles, 3.5 acres plus rent a further 5, no school but big house (like you don't need huge house or the garden with it), need a school, plus ideally a few more stables, must live on site. Have been looking a while, tried the one at boreham but agent useless and apparently only want to let for a year then sell, plus school in bad way, we need long term (been here 7 years).
I find most agents aren't interested, the barringtons bloke was downright rude!
We aren't desperate, well wait, but it sounds like you don't have that choice?

my friend lives next door borham house. the grazing has been destroyed and the school is really boggy she said. plus he wanted 5k deposit
estate agents seem to be useless! if i hear of any big things il let you know.
they have yet to sell it and its been up since august. its abit over priced and has already been reduced by 75k. so im hoping we have till at least march. we have been offerd a field in danbury if we get stuck. but my oldies need stables in winter and we need electric

Hi we have just bought a large house with four stables and 13 acres of paddocks in West Hanningfield. We are renovating the house but neither myself or fiancée ride horses and we can potentially let the stables, yard and paddocks. Let me know if this is of interest. Thanks, we will probably just let the stables out separately I think. Have put an advert on preloved as advised by Lindsey. Good luck finding somewhere!

just be careful as you may get 4 sets of people coming to the property 2 times a day.. also ask for refrences maybe? x
