Looking for the impossible it seems!
Hello there.

I am looking for a new yard for my well behaved gelding.

Ideally not expensive, with all year turnout if needed. It's important that there are good riding facilities - in a perfect world off road hacking very close by if not immediate. All I do is hack, as I don't have a school but if there was one it would be great, but not a necessity..

The areas I am looking for are LEICESTERSHIRE - Beeby, Barkby, Queniborough, South Croxton, gaddesby, rearsby, Tilton on the hill, billesdon and beyond, anywhere surrounding these areas.

So I am looking for DIY - off road hacking, stable and all year turnout available, friendly people would be a bonus too! I cannot find anywhere suitable I've been searching for around 1 year now! Someone please help me.. Anyone?!

Very frustrated equine lover :-(

Sorry no help I'm afraid, but am interested in replies as I will be moving to Leicestershire at some point in the future and have the same Wish list, although not quite the same area - North West, W or SW Leics.

I'm stuck down south for a few years, with the compensation of DIY with 24/7 turn out all year and direct off road hacking. It seems harder to find in Leicestershire than Bucks, ridiculously. Good luck!

I don't know leicestershire well but I have a friend with a fab yard at Blaby (is that the right area?!). She's an event rider so has a couple of her own horses and several liveries that she competes. I know she recently took on 2 DIY's so there's a chance she'd take another.
Its a lovely american barn surrounded by acres of grazing and has a floodlit outdoor school. The hacking is great too. I wish it was local to me as it would be perfect! Send me a pm of you want her number.

I'm in that area and although I know a few people who take on liveries, there isn't much in the way of off road hacking nearby,I think there are only 2 bridle paths locally.PM me if you'd like any details.

Hi- I can't help you very directly, but I worked in the equestrian industry in Leicestershire years ago and I seem to remember Rearsby Lodge being a name which cropped up frequently in conversation.

A bit of a thread hijack- I currently live in Ashby-de-la-Zouch and will soon be moving to Acresford and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for DIY/ assisted DIY livery close by? Have searched the internet, but not much coming up! :-)
