hi there
I am soon to of completed my bhs svq level 2 exam (complete this week) and am therefore looking for a job as either a groom, rider or both. I am 18 years old and i have my own transport. I have been riding for 16 years and have owned my own horses and ponies for 10 years. I have had lots of works experience including: farriery work placement, oatridge college forging course, veterinary work placement, riding school placement, competing in many spheres, sales/livery yard work and i have also done my riding and road safety test. This year i have also been to Ireland to work for 3 weeks on a large yard with around 50 or 60 horses, were I schooled there horses, mucked out, gave a lesson etc. It was an excellent experience, but unfortunetly a bit far for me to travel everyday! I don't mind working with young horses/ponies, as i currently own a 2 year old whom I have owned from him being 5 months old and i plan to do all the work with him myself. I would preferably like a job in the scottish borders, as i live in galashiels, but i can travel further if need be. I am also able to live in if needed, but would want some accomodation for my 2 horses. I can give contact details for a referance from any of my works placements or from my current restaurant employer.
