Hey,

I was thinking about part time horsey jobs the other day and i thought you lot may be able to advise!

How easy would it be for me to find a horsey part time job, im talking weekends mainly?

I have a horse at the mo, but depending on what happens i may not soon, any way even if i do i would like to look in to getting a part time job.

My weekends are a bit bare since OH left and i think a part time job with horses may fill my time in and getting paid for it would be a bonus.

But im thinking these jobs are like hens teeth.

Someone enlighten me please?

Just wonder round some local yards and ask if they are looking for staff. Good Luck

Yeah thats a hell of a way!!

Im not bothered about doing anything but im not looking for riding in particular, grooming, mucking out, sweeping up, lunging, riding, cleaning tack etc just general horsey stuff.

Been doing it for years so have plenty of experience

Ditto! Wish you were in Sussex ... not that that's much use to you. But if you want to move down south, you'd obviously have lots of enthusiastic people fighting over your services!

I have a weekend horsey job! Got it because I couldn't afford my own horse at the moment, so I now get paid to ride one and look after two. I put an advert up at a local riding school where lots of competitions are held, initially looking for a part loan, but I got this instead. I think there is a lot of demand, you should find something great. I know plenty of the YO's friends are looking for someone to help them with their horses. Good luck!!!
