Hi newbi here.

I am currently stabling my horse in waltham abbey on diy but am looking to move to part or even full livery in east london/essex or nr chelmsford.

Any ideas would be great

i am use to not having winter turn out...it would be a plus.
somewhere with good surface to lunge, nice sized school doesn't have to be indoor.
as i am so use to riding in epping forest i would like to stay close in regards to london/essex stables.

could someone from chelmsford tell me about hacking out in that area. I have been high easter for a sponsered(sp) ride couple of times n really enjoyed it plus been hanningfield for the same reason loved the x-country course we rode through.

I live in Chelmsford, although I don't keep my horses here.
There is Mashbury, that has a 20x40m menage although I think it can freeze in bad weather. They have some winter turnout and the hacking is really good. It has changed hands recently though and the new owners don't provide services, so it's a case of paying for your stable and then paying the groom separately.
Or there is Fitzpatrick Farm (used to be Jubilee) next to Paul Hayler's, my friend owns that. They have a 20x60m menage, horse walker, a mess around paddock in the winter (I think), and the hacking around there is nice.
There are a few more too but I just can't think of the names at the mo!

ETA: Just remembered, there is Thatchers in Roxwell, they have a menage and decent hacking, not sure about the turnout situation there though. Also there is a yard down Ponds Road in Galleywood, the Hanningfield ride used to start from there years ago (not sure about now). They have access to some very good hacking I think, but I don't know details about the yard itself.

Sarah Fortt is near Hanningfield - she does various types of livery and if you need your horse schooled/exercise is excellent. Her rates are very reasonable and I had Chancer with her for some schooling livery and continue to have lessons

Number is 07956018729 if you want to call her.

If you want to stay closer to Waltham Abbey, have you tried Harolds Park Farm? Good facilities and a livery service - only downside is it is a very big yard and they do close the fields for some of the winter months.
