Hi

If anyone can help I would be hugely grateful. Despite spreading the word I just cant seem to find a horse on loan.

Have advertised on H&H and horsemart, and free ads, and always check at local shows, saddlers etc for adverts. Maybe because we are out in the sticks in cornwall?! There are lots of timewasters out there looking to either get rid of problem horses or for me to bring on their novice horse and then take back. Any advice or interest much appreciated.......

Here is the ad I have posted : 15.3+ Ex Eventer/Dressage horse wanted.
Experienced lightweight mature lady rider desperately seeking horse to do to *CCI Eventing and dressage (BD). Looking to loan or lease. Too much of a softie to sell own horse who has taken me to his limits and is now on loan to a Junior (hence why no funds to purchase currently). Excellent facilities on yard with onsite AI, post & rail grazing, rubber floodlit school, american barn stables, beach gallops. Please contact me if you think you may have something suitable. Professional and vocational references available.

Whereabouts are you in cornwall Fabforester? There was a horse advertised in the Cornishman last week that would consider a long term loan and a 16hh grey Tb that was also for loan I think. I can dig out the adds this evening and PM you the details if you want?

Hiya, thanks for taking the trouble to reply. The grey you mentioned I called up about, its done nothing and they dont want it to compete and the 16.3hh gelding has gone. I go through the Cornishman and WMN, and the other local papers.

Don't quite understand your advert. Why do you want an "ex" eventer/dressage horse and then want to be able to event and BD dressage - seems a contradiction.

To rub salt into your wounds, I've just loaned mine out to East Cornwall who evented and BSJA (dressage a bit poor though). If you want to PM me your details I will keep them in case it falls through. He's the photo in my signature.

Good luck, I'm sure something will turn up. Mine went through word and mouth.
