We are looking at buying our first horse. I have worked at a stables for years and then part loaned for years after. However I just want to know what I have to do when buying and moving a horse to my land. I know I need to worm, but do I have to keep off the land for so many days? Anything else would be appreciated thank you

If you are going to worm you should keep your horse stabled for a couple of days if you can, that will prevent any spread onto your fields. You need to use the correct wormer for the time of year, in future you can send samples away for worm counts and only worm for what is needed. Also to help reduce worm burdens it is a good idea to clear the fields as often as possible.
