Ok the plan for my boy is to have him on working livery when he's ready but i'm wondering if there is anything bit wise I can use when he is being ridden by the inexperienced kids as I don't want him to get a hard, dead mouth.
I can't afford him to be on diy or full livery so working livery is my only option. Any thoughts?

He's in a loose ring snaffle atm, probably keep him in it as he seems quite happy with it if I do change it'll be for an eggbutt probably but that's only because I worry (again) about possible pinching. Tbh the really inexperienced kiddies get lead reined around and tend not to be able to hold contact, then they have hover-ers for a bit when they can hold their reins and adjust them themselves and the more experienced ones I don't worry about because they all know what they are doing by the time they can go it alone. I think it's because he's my first horse I worry more than I would normaly ha ha! Anyway he doesn't have to deal with anyone but me and my instructer atm till he learns what's expected of him and how to balance and hold himself up so I've still got a (long) while of having him all to myself :D
