The foal born at Rollestone has not got up yet (nearly an hour old) and mum hasn't touched it at all

Please get those vibes going

If this was Asti I would be sobbing buckets by now.......perhaps I won't be much use after all

Why has the mare not so much as touched it?

Oooh no, you mean I'll have salty tea to drink????

*adds box of tissues to list of foaling supplies listed in foaling bible mark 2, from foal to full grown by Janet Lorch*

Is the mare a maiden do we know? That can sometimes be a problem as they have no idea what this fluffy wet bundle is... once its up and suckling she should show more interest.

We had to dry Ivy down - proper nursemaids - Byter decided it was beneath her and her minions could do it. Tini when she had Asti, ran away squealing every time Asti moved!!!

No, not a maiden. They have one other foal recorded on their details for 2004 (I think).

It also asks if anyone has any foals by this mare as they would like to know more.

Think it also says that the mares daddy was the original Lloyds bank horse.

There you go, looking better now! Vibes and wisdom of GM works wonders *polishes halo*

Don't worry, I don't panic when playing midwife.

*adds plastic cups with LIDS to list for foaling supplies to avoid cried in tea...*

PS if anyone thinks this an odd conversation, if we successfully breed a foal off Asti, I'm the midwife, sister is roving cameraperson, Auntie Manda GG is in charge of making the tea...

Will I get a pinny (Apron....fro the Southerners that don't know what i am talking about

) with chief Tea maker on the front!?

I have to say I am still worried about the poor little lamb. I desperatly need to go to bed to as I have to be up really early tomorrow

Phew!

Scary reading for a moment there!

One of my maiden mares foaled this week. I watch while having dinner, she started showing signs at half past the hour, by the top of the hour the foal was up, wahsed and sucking!
