Just rang the Bovington sec ,I promised faithfully we would send the second entry by special delivery yesterday which we did , the damned thing hasn't arrived today at all..
She is now saying they have had virtually no withdrawals due to Blackdown cancelling so we may not get in even if the entry eventually arrives.
Absolutely fuming I logged on to Royal Mail, entered the 13 digit code to see signed for deliveries don't appear on their system until AFTER they get delivered..
is it me or does that sound totally stupid? Who needs to know the item has got there when they are tracking it, I want to know where the b*** thing is now...
We are to phone back this evening to see if anyone has withdrawn, but I'm not hopeful.
CCJ is busy attempting to see if there is a space in the 3' 3" class at the ODE Stocxkland are running on Sunday, it says QRC are doing it but no reply on that phone number. Anyone know who QRC are?
Grr we'll go to an ODE if I have to build one in the field....

QRC = Quantock riding club. But I don't fancy your chances. I am entered (before closing date) and have been waitlisted. Still hoping for a phone call....!
 
I was going to see if i could get Socks in.. but couldn't be bothered in even trying in the end (seem to remember it being a pretty horrid course too)

am thinking of going XC schooling with Socks to Stockland Lovell tomorrow tho if you fancy it??? (if they'll have us, what with getting ready for the ODE)

come on, you know you want to!! we've been planning a XC schooling session for ages, and it never happens...
 
This info is too late to be of any use to you HH but special delivery, recorded delivery, & registered post are NOT the same as guaranteed next day delivery. I only know this as I found out the hard way too!! You actually have to say ay the counter that you want guaranteed next day delivery.
 
How frustrating what about PN at Chepstow if they are still taking entries it is quite easy to get to. We are frustrated as well with this very dry weather we are probably again not going to run Intermediate this week-end probably not even travel. There is some decent BSJA on down here and we've had a bit more rain.
 
I did Quantock RC last year and it was chaos as nobody got round the XC! I expect they will have learnt from that. The dressage arena was appalling and so hard. It was very busy lastyear as well.
