My horse has loose droppings. Quite light brown in colour and fairly loose. No change in diet/routine but she is also fairly ‘fresh’ at the moment and I am wondering if it’s stress related. Especially loose when I was about to get on to ride. Any suggestions what might help? Any gut balancer/supplement recommendations that might help?

One of ours also tend to get loose droppings - it can change in a day if the weather changes, heavy rain, cold spell etc. What works for us a mix of good haylage and very dry hay (bad batch of haylage will throw him off too), electrolytes every day - both for keeping the balance but also to stay hydrated, and a maintenance level of magnesium supplement to keep stress levels low (we use Foran Nutri-Calm - other magnesium products have not worked for us, and vet explained that different product compositions work for different horses because it depends on their absorption, feed, weight etc). If they have completely emptied their bowels (which they will do in a stress situation) the last droppings will be loose, so you also have to check whether it is all of it, or just sometimes
