There is a local Jack Russell that either escapes a lot or is left to roam free, its been in with my sheep chasing them several times now but I cant find out who it belongs to as I cant get close enough to catch it and its not got a collar, it always vanishes quite quickly and so far has caused no injuries
I once saw a young lad with it but he said he wasnt the owner (dog not on a lead)
I feel I need to say something to someone as although my sheep are used to my terrier obviously there are other sheep around that have less tolerant owners and many of those sheep are pregnant or soon will be
i've done what I can to dog proof my field and my own larger terrier certainly hasnt found a way out of there yet but I suspect that the smaller JRT is getting through the stock fencing
the trouble is that my own terrier slipped under the side gate of the house once and the young lad saw me looking for it so I dont feel like I have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to dogs under control (gate now wired at the bottom!)
