Just wondering how high you loose jump over as pic is 4ft and jumps that with ease, but our school is quite small so didnt know if i should go higher.
Post your pics.

I was once told that its not good for the horse to loose jump, as the horse then gets used to jumping without a rider and then when it comes to jumping with a rider they find it harder? I dont know if this is true or not? has anybody herd anything like it?

I freeschooled over 1.40 the other day but didnt get a picture but would go higher if the wings allowed it!! Will have to use bigger wings! These are stills from the video I got of him ages ago over 1.30 so a bit smaller:

Our school is 20X60 and has a good, well maintained surface though so not sure how high I would go on a not so great surface/size school :)

I think it depends on the horse and their muscle and experience. My old one when he was 5 we loose schooled no bigger then 3ft as we were trying to build his confidence but my jumping pony before that once loose jumped 1.45.

I think if the horse seems happy and is fit to do it then sometimes its good to push them and challenge them a bit.

firstly, your horse is stunning and looks very happy. secondly, jump as high as you think the horse is capable. you know your horse and what he can do :)

I dont have a school, but section off a small area of my field. This jump is about 3ft, Angel is 12hh and Lucky 13h1, they both love loose schooling especially when there's jumps to play with.
