morning, my tb has typical rubbish feet ,has fron shoes on none behind, part of his hoof has all cracked , shod 2 weeks ago , now his nail has come loose and moving around , i have tried to get hold of the farrier but no avialablity especially as a weekend , the nail isnt pushing into his foot and horse sound and showing no discomfort , my only worry is that if i try and get the nail out it will make the shoe loose and need to come off then he will be sore as cant cope without front shoes on , or do i wait until tommorrow until i can get hold of farrier , any thought thank u xx

I wouldn't panic about a loose nail and I wouldn't expect the farrier to come out on a weekend to fix it. I would leave well enough alone, he might lose the nail, but the shoe should stay on. If you are really worried keep him in, but personally I would turn out as normal and take my chances.
