Loose Ring, Egbutts or Fulmer/Full Cheek Snaffles

Which bit type do you prefer for your youngsters and why?

I was considering starting my girl with a NS starter bit, my YM dislikes loose rings and prefers egbutts or fulmers, so im undecided at the moment as which to try.

Fulmers help with steering. My mare hated her NS starter bit. I have a 5" fulmer and a 5" NS starter bit for sale
