Im slowly going out of my mind, i bought a happy mouth loose ring snaffle for my youngster for mouthing/bitting her, i got 5" which looked far too small, so i went up a size, now this looks big enough, possibly too big im not sure, but i cannot for the life of me seem to get it to sit level to be able to tell, sometimes it looks as though half the bit is sticking out one side then the other side it looks too small, and vice versa, i have tried altering cheek pieces on side and not the other, i have checked the bridle is level, but it just doesn't seem to sit right

does anyone have any pitctures of loose ring snaffles, correctly fitted please, because i have now actually forgotton how it should look :o

OK - stupid question: You haven't got it inside out? (By this I mean, the curve of the mouthpiece is outward and not inward?)
On some bits it can be hard to tell. Also, as the Happy Mouth is quite a light material perhaps the horse is holding the bit unevenly in their mouth?
Might be worth checking their teeth as well just in case.

Not a stupid question at all, but yes i have checekd it, in fact i check it every time i put it in her, just to make sure :)

I'll have to have a poke around inside her mouth if she'll let me ;)
