Pictures Loose ring snaffles with 'covers'

Hi, not sure if you will be able to see the image pasted below, but does anyone have any opinions on the loose ring snaffle that has side bits to protect from pinching? It looks like a good idea, just wondering if anyone had tried them?

I have one of these on the bridle I lunge in - I like it - softness of loose ring without cumbersome rubber guards.
I seem to remember they were designed for racing - mine has really large rings which seems to be a feature.

I use an HP Lip Relief loose ring snaffle which has the same covers...

I have a sleeved snaffle and my mare goes very well in it

I have not used a bit like that but is this of interest if you do dressage?
I think they are not legal.

They are dressage legal. There is even a tick next to one on that link
