loose shoes

my pony arrived 2 weeks ago, and i was told that he had only been shod a couple weeks before he arived.

they look fine, but over the weekend they have come loose.

he only has fronts on, and they move at the back by about 4mm if that.

you can hear it if he goes stomping round the school.

have been trying to get hold of farrier but he hasnt rung bk yet.

how much riding do you think it is ok to do on him??

Well I would not risk it if they are clanking about...I err on the side of caution as I would hate for my lad to take a shoe off with a load of hoof just for the sake of holding off riding until the farrier comes...but that is just me...I like my horses feet to be good and solid if at all possible.

thanks im very worried about riding him, so am now walking him only, just hacking round the block. they dont seem to be that bad now. still need the farrier asap tho, and still waiting for them to call back lol
