LORENZINI stirrups or...?

I was wanting to buy either Lorenzi Titanium Jumping Stirrups or Sprenger Bow Balance Stirrup Irons for my birthday. Has anyone tried either of these or heard anything about them?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions for good quality stirrups with a wide tread that could be used for mainly jumping but sometimes hacking?

thanks

I use the Lorenzi stirrups, I really think they are great. They are grippy and the angle is good. I personally don't like lightweight stirrups.

I love the Lorenzinis. They are pretty heavy, most likely the heaviest pair I own. I'd be surprised if you actually managed to lose them, the grip on them is seriously grippy.

I've relatively recently swapped my bow balance stirrups for acavello opera stirrups which I absolutely adore and weren't too badly priced either. Super lightweight and put your leg in a really good position :)

I did look at those but I thought that if they're very lightweight (I have lightweight ones at the moment) I find that it's quite difficult to get them back if I lose them.

Tallist I have titanium treads on mine..to lose the stirrup I'd have to consciously lift my foot up off the tread, but to be fair I don't often lose a normal stirrup either.

My boy did an almighty spook and spin on a hack when I first got them where I lost a stirrup mid-spin and had it back by the end of the movement, although I suspect that may have been more fluke than anything else.

I have the titanium treads.

I have brown and orange, both colours have chipped a bit, but not much considering the amount of wear they have had and that they are constantly going through the dishwasher!

Thank you. This is all very helpful.

Which treads are better? I was thinking of getting the rubber ones as I thought they might have more grip.

I haven't tried the rubber ones but my Lorenzini metal treads are far grippier than any of the rubber treads on my other stirrups, you really could hurt yourself on them if you're not careful. I have the kinda oilslick purple colour and have had a few chips out of them but can't compare to the solid version, sorry!

That's what I was slightly concerned about accidentally cutting myself on the metal treads if I fell off in a weird way or something
